20 Tonne LGP Excavator
Raywell Contracting have 3 20 tonne LGP excavators in their fleet. The undercarriages of these machines have been lengthened by 1000mm and widened to accommodate 1500mm triple grouser shoes producing a footprint 130% larger than a standard 320DL fitted with 800mm shoes. This results in a drastic improvement of ground pressure down from 5.2PSI to 2.6PSI, half that of a standard 320DL with 800mm shoes.
This allows the excavator to access swamp and silty areas, including tailings dams and residue areas, previously inaccessible by a conventional excavator.
The modifications have been engineered thoughfully and implemented professionally using OEM components where possible to maximise reliability and minimise downtime.
